LADY PINK

Lady Pink is the catalog of the exhibition held at Graffiti & Co. gallery in Paris in April 2024.

Lady Pink was 15 when she started graffiti in Queens, New York. In an urban landscape then almost entirely dominated by men, she quickly made a name for herself as the “First Lady of Graffiti.”

She began painting clandestinely in the New York subway at night, while Manhattan galleries courted her during the day. At 21, she presented her first solo exhibition. Today, Lady Pink's work has evolved and transformed onto canvas, where she transposes the codes of graffiti that she has reappropriated and reinvented. Her works are exhibited at the Whitney Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Brooklyn Museum.
