WISH – Power of Love

WISH is a Frankfurt-based train writer who was one of the defining figures of the local scene from the 1990s to the mid-2000s. Around 1995, he began taking his first steps on rolling steel, not coming from a classic hip-hop background, but rather from a punk scene. Since it took years for him to really grow into the Frankfurt scene, he retained the impartiality of his early pieces and developed a completely independent style over time.

In addition to his main name, he worked under pseudonyms such as WUT, SLAYER, XMAN, FEEL, FEVER, STORM, DOOM, and DETROIT. By consciously avoiding traditional stylistic influences, he also became a fixture on a national level. In the magazines of his time, WISH stood out among contemporaries such as KASPER, BOSS, KAOS, RISE, SPACE, MICRO, RUZD, and others, who are also featured in the book.

In Power of Love, he presents a complete chronological overview of his writing career. Although the focus is on Frankfurt trains, we also accompany him to Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Paris, Amsterdam, Stuttgart, and Rome.

In several texts, WISH and fellow writers such as RISE, REX, AGIT, OKUL, KENT, and JAIL provide retrospective insights into his work and the influence it continues to exert today.

The 240-page softcover Power of Love contains 400 photos and focuses on one of the most interesting German train writers of the late 1990s and early 2000s—a writer whose pieces were always memorable and distinguished by their unique originality.
